Easter in Dubai is a vibrant and festive celebration, offering a mix of family-friendly activities, delicious brunches, and unique experiences that combine tradition with the city’s luxury flair.

Whether you’re looking for an Easter egg hunt or just want to enjoy all the chocolate (like me)! I’ve included an option for whichever type of Easter you want to enjoy.

Easter in Dubai date

Easter in Dubai will be on Sunday, 20th April 2025.

This year Ramadan will have finished by the time Easter arrives in Dubai, compared to previous years.

Does Dubai celebrate Easter?

Dubai does not officially celebrate Easter as it is a Muslim-majority country. However, because of its diverse expatriate population, many hotels, restaurants, and churches host Easter events.

You’ll find Easter brunches, egg hunts, and family-friendly activities at popular venues like luxury hotels, beach clubs, and malls.

Churches in Dubai, such as St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Church, also hold special Easter services. So while it’s not a public holiday, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Easter in Dubai.

What is easter in Dubai like?

The Dubai classic of brunch gets a special Easter theme at many locations throughout the city, especially for Easter weekend. You can choose to attend either on a Saturday or Sunday, depending on your preference.

Hotels will also add Easter decorations, and different venues also have themed afternoon teas along with activities for kids such as face painting, crafts and easter egg hunts. You’ll find a decent selection of both affordable and luxury events.

You’ll also find lots of chocolate shops and bakeries doing special little easter themed treats. These year will definitely feature of lot of kunafa and pistachio themed items thanks to the viral Dubai Chocolate!
