Palm Jumeirah is not just a stunning architectural marvel with luxury villas and hotels but also a playground of exciting activities for you to explore!
As someone who’s both lived in Dubai and visited as a tourist over 11 years, Palm Jumeriah is one of my favourite places to visit. It’s also one of the first places I stayed when I moved, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me.
Whether you’re an adventure seeker, foodie, or want to relax, this stunning island offers something for all! So I’m sure you’ll love it too and this list will give you some ideas on things to do on Palm Jumeriah.
1) Take a wonderful ride on Dubai Balloon
For a truly unique experience on Palm Jumeirah, take a ride on Dubai’s only tethered hot-air balloon!
Located inside Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark, this thrilling activity lifts you 300 meters (984 feet) into the air, giving you stunning, 360-degree views of Dubai Marina’s skyline and landmarks.
From the top, you’ll see Palm Jumeirah’s layout and get to enjoy the fresh air during the 10-minute flight panoramic views. Just make sure to check the weather before you head out as the experience is weather dependent.

2) Seek out adventure at Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark
Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark is a must-visit for thrill-seekers and families on Palm Jumeirah!
Dubai’s biggest waterpark, it’s packed with exciting slides, lazy rivers, and splash areas that make it fun for the whole family as a fun day out. Even if you’re not a family of water slides and ride, you can relax on the private beach instead.
For an adrenaline-pumping ride you can try the Leap of Faith slide, which plunges you down a near-vertical drop through a shark-filled lagoon. There’s also an incredible 2.3 km of river rapids!
You can also get free access if you decide to stay at the hotel Atlantis, which is one of the best options to stay at for families.

3) Dine at the beautiful Palm West Beach
Dining at West Palm Beach on Palm Jumeirah offers a fantastic mix of beachfront vibes and stunning Dubai skyline views. I just love the vibe here, it’s a definite must visit if you’re in the area.
This trendy stretch is lined with chic restaurants, cafes, and beach clubs, each offering a mix of local and international cuisines to suit any taste. You’ll find everything from seafood and Mediterranean plates to fusion dishes.
As the sun sets, the beach transforms into a lively scene with a laid-back atmosphere, making West Palm Beach a perfect spot for relaxed beach dining experience.
4) See unique sea life Lost Chambers Aquarium
The Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis, The Palm, offers an wonderful underwater experience inspired by the myth of the lost city of Atlantis.
The aquarium is home to over 65,000 marine animal plus features a maze of tunnels and chambers where you can get close-up views of exotic fish, sharks, rays, and more. There’s also interactive touch tanks and optional extras such as for behind-the-scenes tours or even shark diving.

5) Enjoy a day of luxury relaxation at Aura Skypool
If you’re after incredible views and a day of relaxation on Palm Jumeirah, Aura Skypool at The Palm Tower is a great choice.
In the same building as The View at Palm Jumeirah, Aura is the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool, perched on the 50th floor! You’ll see the lovely Dubai Marina skyline and Palm Jumeirah from above.
This chic pool deck offers cozy loungers, a laid-back vibe, and a tempting selection of snacks and cocktails, making it one of the best spots in Dubai to unwind in luxury.
6) Feel the rush of adrenaline Skydiving over Palm Jumeirah
Skydiving over Palm Jumeirah with Skydive Dubai is the ultimate thrill for adrenaline lovers and a bucket-list for many coming to Dubai. It’s one of the only sky dives in the world in a built up area.
You’ll get to experience freefall from 13,000 feet over the iconic Palm Jumeirah with the azure blue of Arabian Gulf waters. You don’t land on Palm Jumeirah but it’s still a really different way to experience Palm Jumeirah from above.

7) Ride the Palm Monorail and enjoy the scenic view
Riding the Palm Monorail is an affordable and scenic way to explore Palm Jumeirah, offering stunning views of the island and Dubai skyline along the way.
Starting from the Gateway Station at the base of the Palm, the monorail takes you through several top destinations, including Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, and Atlantis. The Palm monorail offers a convenient and budget-friendly way to get to many of the attractions in this list!

8) Head up to The View for an amazing view
Perched on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower, The View at The Palm is one of the most iconic attractions on Palm Jumeirah and very popular with tourists.
The observation deck has both indoor and outdoor elements, offering a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the island’s famous palm shape. From here, you can take in views of the Dubai Marina skyline and the Arabian Gulf.
It’s best to visit at sunset as you’ll get to see the beautiful blue waters, the stunning golden hour and the sparkling night skyline of Dubai Marina. Day and night have completely different feels, plus seeing the transition always takes your breathe away.
You can take your time at the top and enjoy by sitting in their café. There’s also an interactive exhibit that dives into the fascinating history and engineering behind Palm Jumeirah.

9) Shop at Nakheel Mall
Nakheel Mall is a great shopping destination on Palm Jumeirah, offering a mix of high-end retail, dining, and entertainment options. There’s a mix of luxury brands and unique boutiques, I love the boutiques here for buying beach wear!
The mall also features a few different restaurants and cafés, along with a food court if you want something affordable to eat. There’s also a cinema and an indoor play area for kids.
However my favourite place of all here is the food hall called Depachika, where you can pick up gourmet food items. There’s also a sushi counter, a cafe and bakery to sit and enjoy a treat in store.
10) Enjoy a relaxing stroll around Al Ittihad Park
Al Ittihad Park is a serene oasis located on Palm Jumeirah, close to Shoreline apartments, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Spanning over 2 kms, this beautifully landscaped park features lush greenery, walking and even a 3.2 km jogging path.
In fact it’s one of the localities best kept secrets! It’s also completely free to visit.
The park also showcases 100 types of local plants and trees, offering a glimpse into the UAE’s natural flora. It’s an ideal spot for families, with play areas for kids and picnic spots. Enjoy a peaceful stroll or a do hearty workout, the choice is up to you.
11) Try your hand at flyboarding
Flyboarding on Palm Jumeirah is an exhilarating water sport that gives you the chance to soar above the Arabian Gulf sea like a superhero!
This unique experience allows you to straddle a flyboard connected to a jet ski, which propels you into the air and allows you to hover. As you get confident you can try to dive or perform tricks while enjoying the backdrop of The Palm.
Even if you’re a beginner, the expert instructor will help provide guidance so you can get the hang of it. It’s a must-try activity for an unforgettable memory in Dubai!
If flyboarding isn’t for you, there’s plenty of other more relaxed water activities in the area, such as Kayaking or paddle boarding.
