Best Jetski Tours and Packages

1. 1 hour Dubai Marina & Burj Al Arab Jet Ski Tour

5 out of 5 stars (2552 reviews)

This 1 hour Burj Al Arab & Dubai Marina Jet Ski Tour starting from the lovely Fishing Harbour 2 in Umm Suqeim with a qualified instructor, takes you towards the bridge connecting to Palm Jumeirah and the around Palm Jumeirah, you’ll see the Dubai Marina skyline in the distance.

From Dubai Marina, you’ll go up around The Palm to Atlantis, if there’s enough time, before making a final stop at Burj Al Arab on the way back. Each stop includes to take photos at each iconic Dubai landmark.

You’ll need to be confident on a jetski to see Atlantis as it covers quite a large distance in 30 minutes, if you’re slower you’ll still get to enjoy Burj Al Arab and parts of Palm Jumeirah.

A bottle of water is included in the tour but you’ll need to rent a towel (available from the Jetski rental) if you forget to bring your own and fall into the water.

Make sure to stop by one of the restaurants or cafes in the fishing harbour for a spot of lunch either before or after you start off on your jetski tour.

Excellent service, very nice staff, nice experience with the guide who lets you free to drive. Excellent jetski quality.

2. 2 hour Jet Ski Dubai Tour

5 out of 5 stars (745 reviews)

This 2 hour Jet Ski Dubai tour covers pretty much every sight possible from the Arabian Gulf sea of Dubai and is the length I recommend to make sure you cover all the possible sights of Dubai.

You’ll get to see some of the more unique sights of Dubai, including seeing The World Islands which can only be accesses by boat or jet ski of course!

If you’re not as used to jetskiing than I’d recommend to go either for the 1 hour to 1 and a half hours, as 2 hours may feel a little long. Especially if you’re not used to the bumpiness of going over waves at speed.

Though instructors can go slower, so this length of tour is also ideal for those who’d prefer to take the sights slower.

Start location: Fishing Harbour 2, Umm Suqeim 1
Time: 2 hours
Sights: Jumeirah Beach, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis, The Ain Dubai, Bluewaters, The World Islands, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina & Atlantis
Includes: Bottle of water, life jacket rental, masks or glasses if you need, locker rental & photos by instructor. Showers & changing rooms are also available. (*Towel & waterproof pouches rented separately)
Price: $239 USD (1 jet ski can fit 2 people)

3. 1 Hour Burj Al Arab & JBR Jet Ski Tour

5 out of 5 stars (2470 reviews)

1 hour Burj Al Arab & JBR Tour will start off from Umm Suqeim and head first to the Burj Al Arab where you’ll get a chance to take a photo before heading under the Palm Jumeirah connecting bridge to Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR).

The title of the tour says Burj Khalifa but you’ll only be able to see Burj Khalifa from a far distance and if it’s a hazy day then it may not be possible to see the Burj Khalifa very well from this location.

As the same with the other tours, if you’re able to go fast then you’ll get to see Atlantis and Royal Atlantis. If you want to definitely make sure you have enough time then it’s better to do a 2-hour tour.

The best experience possible. Jet ski for the first time for 3 people and Hadi was exceptional and always looked out for us if we lagged behind and instructed us what to do. The sense of humor Hadi showed and the one on one photo and video opportunity that he gave all 6 of us in the group was phenomenal.

4. 30-minute Burj Al Arab Jet Ski Tour

5 out of 5 stars (1484 reviews)

This 30-minute jet ski tour is perfect for those who want a quick try on a jet ski and see how they get on while still getting some awesome photos at the Burj Al Arab.

As you can see above, the route is pretty simple, you’ll come out of the fishing harbour and drive around to the Burj Al Arab before returning back again. The 30 minutes will fly by and you may find you want to extend your tour after.

This is also the most cost-effective option, so also great for those who want the experience but are trying to save some of the dirhams.

Start location: Fishing Harbour, Umm Suqeim 2
Time: 1 hour
Sights: Burj Al Arab, Dubai Marina & JBR
Includes: Bottle of water, life jacket rental, gloves if needed, locker rental & photos by the instructor. Showers & changing rooms are also available. (*Towel, sunglasses/goggles & swimwear not included)

5. 30 minute Burj Khalifa Jet Ski Tour

4.9 out of 5 stars (974 reviews)

This is a second option for a 30 minute jet ski tour however this one leaves from further north up the coast. Allowing you to travel more north and get a picture with your jetski by the Burj Khalifa.

Though you will still be quite far away from the Burj Khalifa, it’s more of the Downtown Dubai skyline view. It’s still a really good experience and perfect for those who want to do something a little different, as typically most people do the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis tour.

If you’ve never done jet skiing before, 30 minutes can be the perfect amount of time to get used to using a jet ski and seeing if this fun, adventurous activity is for you.

Start location: Fishing Harbour, Jumeirah 2
Time: 30 minutes
Sights: Burj Khalifa
Includes: Bottle of water, life jacket rental, locker rental & photos by the instructor. (*Towels not included)
Price: $80.75 USD (1 jet ski can fit 2 people) *Currently 15% off

What to wear and things to pack for Jet Skiing

I’d recommend going with your swim clothes underneath your normal clothes as it will make it easier to get ready and changing rooms may not be available at some locations or may be further away. It’s okay to wear a bikini, wet suit, swimming shorts or burkini, whatever you feel more comfortable in.

  • Swimsuit or wet suit
  • UV goggles or sunglasses
  • Wet suit shoes or wet shoes (optional)
  • Sunscreen
  • Towel
  • Waterproof pouch for your phone or camera

It’s best to take something to protect your eyes, as the spray of salt water can make it difficult to see if you don’t use goggles or glasses. The majority of jet ski places have these to hand. Also if you plan to try and use your own sunglasses, again you’ll need special ones that tightly grip or you may end up losing them as you go over a wave.

Finally, it’s good to have a waterproof pouch to put your phone in that fastens to you securely, as it’s nice to take some of your own photos with your phone or camera. If you own a Go Pro that can be perfect for shooting video and taking photos in more extreme conditions.

I personally quite like having wet shoes as it just gives you a bit more grip and makes my feet feel more protected.

Locations where you can jetski in Dubai

Dubai has many amazing locations for jetskiing including Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach, and Al Mamzar. One of the most popular spots is Umm Suquiem as you can travel to Palm Jumeirah and see Atlantis from the sea along with key sights such as Burj Al Arab. Jetskiing allows you to explore the city in a unique way and provides an adrenaline rush like no other!

  • Palm Jumeirah
  • Dubai Marina
  • The World Islands
  • Ain Dubai
  • Umm Suqeim
  • Jumeirah
  • Al Mamzar Beach Park

Depending on which company you choose to book with, there may be other options available. What you can see during the tour will also depend on the length of the tour. You’ll need a longer tour if you want to try and see many of the iconic buildings via jet ski. Also, make sure to check with your provider where exactly you’ll start from as different companies may start from different locations depending on the tour or tour length you book,.

No matter which location you choose, Jet skiing in Dubai is an amazing experience that will let you explore the city’s breathtaking views. Uncover its hidden gems and make special memories with friends or family along the way. The experienced tour guides will provide you with all the necessary safety gear and instructions so you can have a great time jet skiing!

Do you need a license to jet ski in Dubai?

No, you do not need a license to jet ski in Dubai. However, you will need to provide valid identification and sign a waiver of liability before embarking on your tour. If you are under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by an adult. Be sure to check with each tour operator for their specific requirements.

What age can you drive a jet ski?

It depends on the rental company, some require 14 years and over while others need to be a minimum of 16 years old to drive a jet ski in Dubai. Some may even only allow those 18 years and older. This is because jetskiing can be dangerous and some rental companies prefer not to take the risk with younger drivers.

If you have a private jetski, Dubai Maritime law allows those over the age of 14 to drive them and it’s possible for even younger if they are escorted. Jetskis can go really fast, so making sure you know the safety rules and how to properly use them is a must. Also by law in Dubai, you must wear a life jacket.

Children are able to ride on the back of an adult’s jetski with a life jacket on for protection, as long as they meet the weight requirements. Some companies allow from 5 years and up but again it does vary.

What documents do I need to bring for renting a jet ski?

If you’re looking to rent a jetski in Dubai, you should bring along your passport if you’re a tourist or your Emirates ID if you’re a resident.

You will also need to sign a document waiver form.

What safety precautions should I take while jet skiing?

Safety should be your top priority when jet skiing. You should always wear a life jacket and obey the rules and regulations set by your provider. Make sure to listen carefully to the instructions given by your guide and follow them.

Your engine cut-off cord should be firmly attached to you, so that in the event of you falling off the jet ski. The engine automatically stops but the instructor will go through this with you before you start the tour.

You should also take necessary precautions such as avoiding a collision, bad weather conditions and other safety hazards. Rental companies will usually contact you if there is an issue with the weather and will reschedule free of charge.

Remember! Respect the sea and other people around you and always be aware of your surroundings so you can have a safe and enjoyable experience.

I also recommend checking your travel insurance and that you’re covered in the event of an injury. As these types of activities can sometimes require a premium in order to be covered.
