21 impeccable restaurants with the best Dubai views in 2023

Published: Last Updated on

Dubai is a city known for its world records, towering skyscrapers and breathtaking views. It’s one of the most spectacular destinations on the planet with plenty of fantastic restaurants to match. So if you’re looking for the best restaurants with a view in Dubai then you’re in exactly the right place.

So whether you’re looking for lunch, dinner or drinks at a rooftop lounge or fine dining restaurants with panoramic vistas. Here are some of the best view restaurants across the whole of Dubai by a Dubai resident of nearly 10 years.

I’ve spent way too much of my money on eating out in Dubai over the years and I definitely gained the Dubai stone thanks to this! However, I wouldn’t be able to give you this amazing list from my personal experience without it. So here’s to enjoying what Dubai has to offer and thank goodness our buildings have gyms in them!

I’ve also separated the restaurants into the category of what views they offer, so if you want a Dubai Downtown skyline view, Dubai Marina view or a Palm Jumeirah view. All of them are here.

Dubai Marina View & Ain Dubai View Restaurants

1. Penthouse at FIVE, Palm Jumeirah

View of Dubai Marina skyline from Penthouse Five Palm Jumeirah just as the sun starts to set
View of Dubai Marina from Penthouse Five Palm Jumeirah

This rooftop bar and restaurant located on the 16th floor is part of FIVE Hotel on Palm Jumeirah. It has incredible views over Dubai Marina and serves some very tasty sushi! They also have tacos, steak and other dishes if sushi isn’t your thing.

It definitely has more of a party vibe than just a restaurant. Saturdays, in particular, are for brunch and thus the evening is filled with the crowd post brunch. So if you’re wanting more of a dinner, best to go earlier in the evening on a Sunday to Friday.

The venue offers both indoor and outdoor open-air seating, making it one of the best Palm Jumeirah restaurants with a view. I went here for a friend’s 30th Birthday party and it was definitely a lot of fun!

It also has a pool which is usable during the day for the Friday brunch. So if you want something unique and lively with an incredible view! This is the spot!

2. The Observatory Bar & Grill at Marriott Harbour, Dubai Marina

A few tables sat close to the windows at The Observatory Bar and Grill, overlooking Dubai Marina skyline from high up on a clear day.

If you’re looking for the best restaurants, Dubai Marina has many different styles! One of the classics of Dubai, The Observatory opened in 2003. This bar and restaurant are regularly voted as one of the best Dubai restaurants with a view.

So not only is the outlook over Dubai Marina amazing but the food is really good too. Especially their steak! Making it one of my personal favourites for dinner with a view. It’s actually one of the places where I met my husband for the first time, as he’d never visited Dubai before and it’s one of the unique things to do in Dubai too.

This hotel stands at an amazing height of 256m (840 ft). The restaurant and bar are on the 52nd floor and offer 360 panoramic views overlooking Dubai Marina.

You can choose to sit in the restaurant area or the lounge area. It’s pretty large as it’s the entire 52nd floor

This is also one of the few places where it isn’t open air, so if it’s a windy day or you just prefer being enclosed. This is a great option and definitely wins my vote as the best restaurant in Dubai for bringing guests.

3. Atelier M at Pier 7, Dubai Marina

Nightime view of Dubai Marina waters surrounded by sky scrapers as seen from Atelier M in Pier 7 at Dubai Marina

There are several restaurants to choose from in Pier 7, depending on the food you prefer and all of the top floors have amazing views over Dubai Marina. Atelier M sits on the very top with its rooftop bar and restaurant.

The building itself, Pier 7, is pretty small compared to many others on this list. Since it’s only 7 floors high. Yet its direct view onto Dubai Marina is what makes it the best view in Dubai!

The venue has both an enclosed lower floor and an upper open-air rooftop, which is why it’s one of the best restaurants in Dubai Marina with a view.

Atelier is most famous for its ladies’ nights and you’ll find it’s full of people on a Tuesday due to this. I’ve been here on a few occasions with friends, it has a great atmosphere with lots of people dancing.

4. Pure Sky Lounge at Hilton, The Walk JBR

A view at sunset of Ain Dubai and the outdoor seating area on the terrace at Pure Sky Bar. Located on the roof ot the Hilton at Jumeirah Beach Residences or JBR

Located on the 35th floor, this rooftop bar has beautiful views over Dubai Eye and towards the sea. Also being located in The Walk, it’s a lovely place to have a walk around either before or after your food.

The food menu is limited as it’s a lounge, mostly tapas and small bites. It’s more known for cocktails and relaxing. It’s particularly fabulous watching the sunset there. I just love the sea breeze from being an open-air lounge, so refreshing! Probably why it’s voted as ‘Best Rooftop Dubai’ by tourists and residents alike.

5. Paros at Taj, Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT)

Greek style interiors of the Paros in JLT with a view our of the windows of Jumeirah Lake Towers. The inside restaurant area and bar at the back.

Set on the 46th floor, this roof top lounge is perfect and has won ‘Best Rooftop Bar’ along with ‘Best Ladies Night’ in 2021. The venue has 360 views of Dubai, looking out across JLT and Dubai Marina. You can choose either an outdoor open-air setting or an indoor seating area like the above.

Named after the Greek island, Paros, you won’t be surprised to find Greek Mediterranean food on the menu. You’ll find the majority of your favourite Greek classics here. It’s actually quite refreshing for this style of place to be doing a more classic menu instead of the very common sushi, steak & pasta combo that many Dubai hot spots seem to love!

6. The Pods at The Wharf, Blue Waters Island

One of the newest restaurants on the list, this option is perfect for those who don’t like heights but still want a nice view. The Pods overlook Dubai Marina and the ocean while still being firmly on the ground floor.

Originally from London, The Pods is one of the most unique dining experiences in Dubai. The restaurant serves a mixture of Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Korean dishes. So whether you’re craving sushi or dim sum, this restaurant has a selection of both.

7. Sushi Samba at St Regis, Palm Jumeirah

Insdie the glamourous interiors of Sushi Samba in Dubai with a view over Palm Jumeirah

One of the more recently opened restaurants in Dubai, Sushi Samba is a hugely successful international brand with locations in New York, Las Vegas, London & Amsterdam. The Dubai branch is set inside Palm Tower with stunning views across Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.

The restaurant serves Brazilian fusion food which is hugely popular in São Paulo where Japanese immigrants had an influence on the South American culture. This created a new type of cuisine with Brazilian, Peruvian and Japanese flavours. Yum!

8. Dinner in the Sky at Al Sufouh, Dubai Marina

A dining table being hoisted by a crane over the sea with a view of the Dubai Marina skyline in the background. A unique bucketlist item in Dubai called Dinner in the Sky, literally!

I’m not sure if this one fully classes as a restaurant since it doesn’t actually have a building except a welcome centre. It is however a permanent experience in Dubai that is located close to Skydive Dubai. This one is definitely not one for the fainted hearted as you’ll be hoisted up using a crane to enjoy a 90 minute meal in the sky.

They serve the same 3 course menu every day with a choice of starters, mains and desserts. The mains have an option of beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian. The starter is an Italian burrata or Arabic mezze and the dessert is a choice of a fruit salad or chocolate lava cake.

Part of the experience is getting lifted up! You have around an hour to enjoy the food, so it can feel a little bit rushed but it is still a really cool experience to tick off your Dubai bucketlist!

9. Mercury Lounge at Four Seasons, Jumeirah

Mercury Lounge logo and outdoor seating area inside Four Seaons Jumeirah hotel with a view of the Downtown Dubai skyline

Part of the stunning Four Seasons hotel in Jumeirah, this rooftop lounge and restaurant has been a welcomed addition to the Dubai nightlife over the last few years. It offers stunning views towards Downtown Dubai with the Burj Khalifa in the distance.

It’s also a very popular shisha spot but is equally known for its tasty food. Offering steaks, seafood and pasta. I love that it has a lively atmosphere but still a relaxed style for one of the best outdoor restaurants in Dubai!

At one point, I pretty much used to come here every weekend! I’ve also gone to some nice events here too, definitely the kind of crowd who like the finer things in life.

10. Sky View Bar & Restaurant at Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah

View from inside Skyview Bar overlooking the Arabian Gulf sea

The only way to access the Burj Al Arab is either staying at the hotel or with a reservation in one of their restaurants. Making it one of the most exclusive places to enjoy.

This spot is famous for its afternoon tea and is definitely not budget friendly but Dubai certainly is a fun place to spend all your money. It’s located on the 27th floor with views over the sea, making it a unique addition to the restaurant with a view Dubai list.

The calming deep blue of the ocean, I definitely recommend enjoying this view in the daytime, though you can also see a nice lit-up Dubai Skyline of Downtown Dubai at night too. Which is why it makes our list of restaurants with the best view in Dubai.

This is also another option that is enclosed if you prefer it to an open-air venue. The evening menu is light nibbles rather than a full restaurant menu. However, the Burj Al Arab definitely has many other options for the best restaurants in Dubai for dinner! The service and food are always impeccable in all of them!

Insider tip – There is a minimum spend in most of the Burj Al Arab restaurants and lounges but if you’ve had lunch at Scape (which often has dining offers). You can ask the staff to reserve a table for another restaurant or lounge and they’ll typically drop the minimum spend.

11. At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa, Downtown

View from out of the window inside Burj Khalifa at At.Mosphere restaurant, looking towards Dubai International Financial District or DIFC.

*At.Mosphere has now been re-opened after its beautiful refurbishment in 2023

The Burj Khalifa is one of the most iconic buildings in the world! So of course At.Mosphere has to be one of the top restaurants in Dubai with a view! I highly recommend visiting at night, as there’s just something magical about seeing it all lit up on an evening.

Located on the 122nd floor, you’ll be 442 meters (1450 ft) off the ground! This is certainly the highest restaurant in Dubai you’re able to dine in. Both the lounge and restaurant serve a good selection of dishes. Including steaks, seafood and pasta.

The Decadence Breakfast is one of my Dubai bucket list items, so why not have some wagyu bacon and eggs with truffle for breakfast? You’re in Dubai after all!

This restaurant is fully enclosed and is one of the best fine dining high-end restaurants Dubai has to offer!

Insider tip – During the less busy season, I’ve called At.Mosphere and they’ve offered to drop the minimum spend for the none window seats in the restaurant. So it’s worth calling to ask!

To find out about all the restaurants inside the Burj Khalifa, make sure you read this article.

Another incredible option if you prefer to be lower down and have a better view of the Dubai Fountains, is this 3 course lunch or dinner at Burj Club which includes a Burj Khalifa ‘At The Top’ access ticket. Perfect for a romantic or special occasion or just to treat yourself!

12. Highest View Lounge at Gevora Hotel, Trade Centre

This is the world’s tallest hotel, standing at 356 meters (1,167ft) and an amazing 75 floors. The Highest View lounge is the name of the Gevora restaurant located on the highest floor. So if you love heights, you certainly won’t be disappointed as it’s one of the best lounges in Dubai for the view!

Unlike most other lounges, they actually offer quite a wide range of food. Everything from seafood and grills to soups and pasta. It really feels unique to be so high up with an open rooftop

There is a minimum spend of 65 AED per person for breakfast until 1 pm or 100 AED per person for dinner from 5 pm till 3 am. Also surprising at this height it’s still an open-air lounge! Due to its large food offering, I’d actually class it as best view restaurant in Dubai rather than just a lounge.

13. Cé La Vi at Sky Views Address, Downtown Dubai

Inside the restaurant at Ce La Vie in Dubai with a partial view to the terrace outside and bar area

If you’re looking for the best restaurant in Dubai with a view, Ce La Vi is a new addition to the Dubai scene in 2020. This eagerly awaited addition has already proven successful in Singapore.

Located in the Address Sky View hotel, which is a beautiful hotel with a view of the Burj Khalifa. The hotel is similar to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel also in Singapore. Sky View also has an infinity pool and deck connecting the two towers. I remember driving past seeing the connecting bridge and watching the construction slowly come together!

All the way up on the 52nd floor. You can enjoy a similar menu with more of a contemporary Asian flare. You’ll also find steak and contemporary Italian on the menu. What can I say? The Dubai scene and the people tend to love the same dishes done well over and over again. One of the best restaurants in Downtown Dubai that everyone is talking about!

So if you’re looking for an experience, this restaurant with Burj Khalifa view is a must! One of the top restaurants with a nice view, having both indoor and outdoor seating options.

14. Level 43 Sky Lounge at Four Points by Sheraton, Trade Centre

Dusk view from the open air rooftop coacktail lounge Level 43 at Trade Centre area in Dubai where the Burj Khalifa is visable

Yet another open-air rooftop option, this stunning lounge is on the 43rd floor. Hence the name! This time with incredible views over Trade Center, DIFC and Downtown.

Mostly I recommend this place for the view and to go when they have special offers. As they have lots of happy hours, ladies’ nights and selected drinks nights. The food can be a bit hit or miss along with the customer service but the offers are really good!

An unique open air view from Meydan towards Downtown Dubai skyline with the Burj Khalifa visable

Iris was previously located in The Oberoi now called Anantara Downtown, Business Bay and moved to its new location in Meydan in November 2019. It still has an incredible view and is yet another to add to the list of restaurants with a view of Burj Khalifa!

Set out slightly further from Downtown, Meydan offers superb views of the entire Downtown Dubai skyline. This lively open-air lounge is not only popular with Dubai residents but it’s remained a popular night spot for a long time. Which is not easy to do in Dubai!

In terms of the food, it’s a real mix. Offering sliders, Japanese, Mexican, Steak and Continental dishes. It’s bound to have a least one dish that takes your fancy, no matter what style of food you or your friends like.

Previously this rooftop bar was called 40 Kong, so if you’re wondering what 40 Kong changed to. Now you know, Sky 5! Since March 2020.

Yet another open-air lounge option in the city of Dubai with beautiful views over Trade Centre. Located on the 40th floor. If you’re hoping for a view of Burj Khalifa, however, the lounge is facing the opposite direction.

The food is a fusion of Arabic and popular Asian style dishes. Lots of people have been talking about this place in Dubai but it seems like they need to make sure everyone gets the same stellar service.

17. Eat Well at Zabeel

Panoramic view of Dubai Downtown Skyline from the 1st floor of Eat Well cafe in Zabeel

So this one is pretty different to the rest on the list and if you’re wanting something a lot more casual than the lounges and restaurants. More like a cafe in Dubai, this is the place!

It often gets overlooked due to its location as it’s not somewhere you’d accidentally come across. In fact when driving to it, you may even be wondering if you’re in the right place. It’s a stand alone cafe just off the E66.

It’s also more suitable for families and children with activity areas to keep them entertained. If you love healthy food, it’s the best lunch in Dubai.

So what about the view? This chilled out cafe actually comes under the Burj Khalifa view restaurants list as it has an amazing panoramic view of Downtown Dubai on the first floor. So make sure you head up those stairs!

It’s also rumoured to be one of Sheikh Mohammed’s favourite health food cafes, serving vegan and other tasty healthy dishes! Plus it is pretty near to his palace. So if it’s good enough for a Sheikh, you can bet the food is tasty!

View from our table and out of the window of Al Dawaar Rotating restaurant. Seeing Dubai lit up at night.

Can’t believe we’re at number 18! Yes! For restaurants with a view, Dubai is a city of many choices!

This incredible rotating rooftop restaurant seems to often get overlooked online but I’m not entirely sure why? Incredibly it was built in the 1980s and sits on the 25th floor.

The food is really good and its ever changing view makes it one of the best rooftop restaurants in Dubai! Truly a bucket list item as it’s one of the best places to eat in Dubai!

The restaurant is buffet style, serving a mixture of Middle Eastern and international cuisine. If you love Oysters, these are available in the buffet too. So yes! Unlimited oysters. You may or may not see me here carrying several plates of Oysters to my table.

Focused on Thai food and serving Asian fusion cuisine, this restaurant has an amazing terrace that overlooks the stunning Dubai Fountains.

Indulge in some delicious Bangkok-style seafood. Aptly named ‘Magic at the Water’, offers an enchanting dining experience complemented by its romantic surroundings. This is definitely a great restaurant for a date or a romantic occasion with all of its low-level lighting.

Located inside The Palace Downtown which is a 5 star luxury hotel set on the lovely Old Town Island and close to Souk Al Bahar. So you can enjoy a stroll and take in the beautiful Arabic architecture featuring courtyards and greenery.

The outside terrace of OFC at Fashion Avenue of Dubai Mall with a view of Dubai Foutains

There are just so many best restaurants with a view in Dubai and this section of Fashion Avenue in Dubai mall houses quite a few of them. However, OFK is definitely one of my favourites in this part, overlooking Dubai fountains and Downtown Dubai.

OFK stands for Open Flame Kitchen, offering a mix of grills, burgers, pasta and Asian dishes. These types of foods seem to be really popular with Khaleeji nationals, hence why so many restaurants in Dubai seem to serve this mix of dishes. While still catering to an international crowd.
